Scott Kessler, P.E., Ph.D., an independent engineering consultant providing broad-based engineering solutions and testing. Services are provided utilizing comprehensive capabilities, including but not limited to: engineering design, failure analysis, finite element analysis, metallurgical evaluation, mechanical testing, and nondestructive inspection. Comprehensive reports are presented quickly and concisely to customer specifications.

Design services are provided in a timely manner utilizing modern computer aided design (CAD) methodologies. Full three-dimensional models are developed for visualization and simulations studies. Proper proof of concept is carried out virtually and when necessary actual prototypes can be fabricated.
Complete research services are also available, whether reference/library oriented literature searches are necessary or laboratory testing of innovative designs are required.
Finite Element Analysis
Finite element analysis (FEA) provides virtual simulations of product or process behavior enabling predictions of performance under a variety of conditions and configurations. This up-front investigation can save considerable time and cost by evaluating design iterations prior to actual production.
Failure Analysis
Drastic consequences can often result from material failures, whether they involve loss of life, limb, property, or money. Comprehensive root cause failure analysis aids in prevention of future failures by identifying the source and offering suggestions for correction.
Forensic investigation services are accomplished using state-of-the-art methods. Expert testimony can be provided when necessary.
Testing Services
A full range of testing services is available providing support to the other engineering functions.
